What is Vermilion Mindful Solutions?

Vermilion Mindful Solutions is an outpatient psychiatric mental health practice providing evidence-based care to adults. Care is centered on collaboration, clarity, and compassion, with treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.

Who provides care?

Care is provided by Danika Mills, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a doctorally prepared and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

 

Dr. Mills is licensed to practice in California, Washington, and Texas and provides telehealth services to patients physically located in those states at the time of their appointment, in accordance with state and federal regulations

What is an initial consultation?

An initial consultation is a 15-minute appointment designed to briefly discuss your concerns, answer general questions, and determine whether this practice is a good clinical fit. This consultation is not a full psychiatric evaluation and does not include diagnosis or medication prescribing.

Do you provide ADHD testing?

Yes. ADHD evaluations include a comprehensive clinical interview, review of current symptoms and functional impairment, assessment of developmental and psychiatric history, and use of validated screening tools when appropriate. Differential diagnoses are carefully considered.

ADHD evaluations DO NOT include neuropsychological testing or academic accommodations assessments.

How are ADHD medications prescribed?

Medication decisions, including those involving controlled substances, are made cautiously and in accordance with state and federal prescribing regulations in California, Washington, and Texas.

Is this a therapy-only practice?

No. Vermilion Mindful Solutions primarily provides psychiatric medication management with brief psychotherapy. Long-term, weekly psychotherapy is not offered. Referrals to licensed therapists or community resources are provided when indicated.

Is care in person or via telehealth?

All services are provided via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms. Patients must be physically located in CA or WA at the time of service.

Do you offer urgent or emergency care?

No. Vermilion Mindful Solutions is not an urgent care, emergency service, or crisis response provider and does not offer same-day emergency appointments or 24/7 coverage.

What should I do in an emergency or crisis?

If you are in immediate danger or feel unable to keep yourself safe:
